However, I was pleasantly surprised by the tremendous value this hotel presented. The room, whilst not overly lavish, was impeccably clean and boasted a comfortable bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of riding the waves. The air conditioning, a must in the Portuguese heat, functioned efficiently and quietly, providing a cool refuge from the sun-drenched beaches just a stone's throw away.One of the standout aspects of my stay was the charming restaurant on the premises. The menu offered an array of delectable dishes, such as fresh razor clams and local lamb chops, paired perfectly with a good selection of wines. The friendly staff exuded a warmth that made me feel like part of the family, creating a truly inviting atmosphere.Toca Do Grilo's prime location, within close proximity to both the stunning beach and the town's amenities, further adds to its allure. While the accommodations may lean towards simplicity, the exceptional value for the price point cannot be overlooked. For those seeking a comfortable stay without breaking the bank, this establishment is a solid choice that balances cost-effectiveness with a touch of luxury.
